Join us for an extraordinary double bill concert with Else if Else and Noise Catalogue (featuring guest artist Nacho Ojeda), directed by Madeline Hocking. The ensembles will perform their own compositions, as well as the final products of their long-term collaborations with award-winning composer Bahar Royaee and acclaimed poet Tracy Fuad. Toured through other locations in the Eastern US this fall, this program explores concepts of identity as it relates to culture, and how ‘home’ is defined, especially through the experiential lens of those who have been displaced from their native country.

The program includes a chamber work by Ben Portzen based on poetry by Tracy Fuad, a piece by Madeline Hocking, the premiere of a new rendition of “Zakhme” by Bahar Royaee, a duo performed by Nacho Ojeda & Madeline Hocking, and improvisatory works co-written by Noise Catalogue and Else if Else.
