Noise Catalogue at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, NYC
Noise Catalogue is joined by Brooklyn Motion Capture Dance Ensemble, Jordan Ryder, and Nacho Ojeda for an evening of world premieres by acclaimed composers
This performance will feature a world premiere of a solo work for violin and electronics by Elizabeth Gartman, an ensemble piece by Matt Sargent, a chamber composition by Stefanie Lubkowski, and a choreographed work for violin and dancer composed by Madeline Hocking, performed in collaboration with the Brooklyn Motion Capture Dance Ensemble and Jordan Ryder.

Anuj Bhutani + Noise Catalogue at Dimenna Center
Join Noise Catalogue for a captivating concert program curated by Madeline Hocking & award winning composer Anuj Bhutani.
This concert will feature the world premiere of ‘On Letting Go’ (version for solo violin and electronics) by Anuj Bhutani, along with ‘How Long’, a large-scale chamber work by Anuj Bhutani (performed by Bhutani & Noise Catalogue). It will also feature ‘Csitari’ by Daniel Matei, perfomed by Matei himself alongside Madeline Hocking, and a work for piano, violin, and electronics performed by Nacho Ojeda & Madeline Hocking. Tickets are $35, available at the door.

Double Bill Concert with Else if Else + Noise Catalogue

Join us for an extraordinary double bill concert with Else if Else and Noise Catalogue (featuring guest artist Nacho Ojeda), directed by Madeline Hocking. The ensembles will perform their own compositions, as well as the final products of their long-term collaborations with award-winning composer Bahar Royaee and acclaimed poet Tracy Fuad. Toured through other locations in the Eastern US this fall, this program explores concepts of identity as it relates to culture, and how ‘home’ is defined, especially through the experiential lens of those who have been displaced from their native country.
The program includes a chamber work by Ben Portzen based on poetry by Tracy Fuad, a piece by Madeline Hocking, the premiere of a new rendition of “Zakhme” by Bahar Royaee, a duo performed by Nacho Ojeda & Madeline Hocking, and improvisatory works co-written by Noise Catalogue and Else if Else.

Noise Catalogue + Knox Peters
On June 8th at 8 pm, our contemporary music collective Noise Catalogue will present a very special concert alongside multi-disciplinary artist Knox Peters. The concert will take place at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church at 3 West 65th St, NYC, and you can expect to hear incredibly unique and far-ranging pieces of music written by living composers (for percussion, flute, organ, piano, violin, spoken word, and visuals).

Noise Catalogue and students of the Bard Percussion Studio present an immersive, interdisciplinary concert experience centered around the influential literary work ‘Invisible Cities’ by Italo Calvino. Through the musical lens of original compositions and creations by the performers, we will explore the wide-ranging perspectives from which Calvino’s work examines the essences, idiosyncrasies, and unseen connections present in the cities wherein we reside.
The 8 pm concert is preceded by an installation in the same space, which is open to the public from 11 am-6 pm.

Easter concert with Mark Bankin and Sam Fairbrother
On March 30th, Noise Catalogue will be teaming up with Mark Bankin and Sam Fairbrother to create and perform a program of structured improvisation (with violin, percussion and dance) at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church Easter service.

Dwight & Ursula Mamlok Prize Winners Recital
Winners of the Dwight & Ursula Mamlok Prizes (Noise Catalogue & Rhythm Method Quartet) will perform at the Tenri Cultural Institute in NYC, featuring works by Ursula Mamlok and world premieres of new compositions. Noise Catalogue will perform a trio composed by Madeline Hocking and Daniel Matei, a duo by James Warner Duquette, a violin solo by Ursula Mamlok played by Madeline Hocking.

‘Evolution: Classical’ recital at the Banff Centre
A multi-media recital presented by the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity at Rolston Recital Hall, performed by three ensembles featured in the ‘Evolution: Classical’ music festival.
On the program is the world premiere of ‘3 years, 7 hours’ by Jemina Brechoire, in addition to structured improvisations for violin and percussion by Madeline Hocking & Daniel Matei.
Noise Catalogue’s set will be presented alongside performances by Obsidiana Duo & Claudia Do Minh.

Noise Catalogue + Knox Peters
Featuring live artwork by Knox Peters, paired with musical works by Pamela Z, Madeline Hocking, Daniel Matei, Bahar Royaee, George Crumb, and Gyorgy Ligeti, as well as the world premier of an ensemble piece by Thomas Palmer. We will be joined by performers Riley Palmer, Savannah Gentry, Adrienne Schoenfeld, Nacho Ojeda, Knox Peters, and Austin Philemon.

From the US to Hungary
Noise Catalogue members Madeline Hocking & Daniel Matei perform alongside violinist Nicole Parks (violinist in Semiosis String Quartet) at the New School of Music in Cambridge, MA.
Program includes works by Darian Thomas, Bela Bartok, Molly Herron and Anthony Green, as well an original duo for violin and percussion co-written by Madeline Hocking & Daniel Matei.
